Most Android users will most likely agree with me that the Android OS does better than most other mobile operating systems. But you would even agree more if I told you that your Android phone would be grossly under-utilized if you have not rooted the phone.

Rooting a phone is a process of modifying the operating system so that you the user can have TOTAL ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS over the phone. Meaning that you have super user (SU) privileges.

Most modifications and tweaks require that you root your phone. Though this action will most likely void your warranty, a rooted phone could be overclocked to provide increased performance (at the cost of battery life) or underclocked to provide longer battery life (at the cost of performance).

Many super apps sleep require root access (subscribe to my YouTube channel ECHO_TV for app reviews)

This is not a tutorial on how to root your android device – there are tools and guides on how to do that. But many-a-time, we want to verify if our phone is really rooted or not. Here is how to do so;

Install Android Root Checker from the Google Play Store.
Run it. It will display if your phone is rooted or not.

That’s all. Please don’t forget to leave a comment
